Dana Turner is a writer from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with a specialty in feature reporting, fiction and poetry.
     Her work has been featured in national and local publications, including Factio Magazine, a fashion and beauty emporium showcasing the world’s most talented designers, beauty products, celebrity and CEO interviews, international fashion shows, high-end events, store openings, luxury products, galas and more. Writing for this magazine has taught Turner to know no limits or boundaries in writing, be culturally stimulated and bring true global fashion to her readers. Based in Chicago, Factio Magazine readers come from all over the world including, Canada, UK, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, France, Spain, Russia, and China.
     Dana has written features on such famous celebrities as Mercedes from the hit reality television show America's Next Top Model, designer Liz Lange of Liz Lange Maternity and Kelly Jean Drury from General Hospital. Turner was responsible for editorial in the printed glossy “The Style Guide 2006” of San Francisco International Fashion Week that was distributed to 20,000 tastemakers during the highly anticipated event.
     Also a poet, a collection of her poems will be published by Stanford University's prestigious Black Arts Quarterly in Winter 2005. Previously she has been a two time participant in the National Book Foundation Writing Program in Vermont where she has worked with Jacqueline Woodson, Cornelius Eady, Norma Fox Mazer and Kimiko Hahn, Lenard D. Moore and Ann Angel. Currently she is writing a historical fiction novel.
     Turner received her BA in English and Writing from Cardinal Stritch University and was accepted to the highly competitive NYU Publishing Institute. Her favorite writers are Ralph Ellison, Danzy Senna, Thomas Sayers Ellis a
